Happy Birthday to my lovely Daughter

Happy Birthday Andrea!  It doesn't feel like 35 years since you were born - I don't know where the time has gone! I made this special card for you using this Cath Kidston type paper matted onto plain card.  I added some 32mm rose pink pure silk ribbon from here.    The silver Thickers numbers from stash were adhered to a nestie tag then glittered with Stickles Stardust.

I typed the sentiment, printed onto white card and matted onto plain dark pink card then added more Stickles.

I finished the card with a selection of pink flowers and rose buds from Wild Orchid (the ones Andrea bought me for Christmas) and some green leaves punched with my new Martha Stewart Punch.  The final touch was a couple of tiny pearl bead hearts from WOC.  Happy Birthday Andrea, love from Mam xx (I like this card so much I might enter it into a few challenges)

Birthday Card for Sue

I made this card for my friend Sue who celebrates her 60th birthday this week.  The Magnolia stamp was a Christmas gift from Andrea which I coloured with Copics.  I used a Nellie die to cut the scalloped shape and the sentiment is a LOTV rubber stamp.

The leaves were made with a Martha Stewart punch and the flowers are from Wild Orchid (all of them were a Christmas gift again from my lovely daughter Andrea - I have been really spoiled!).  The papers are Cosmo Cricket and I used pale pink Making Memories paint on the edge of the background paper before adhering to a piece of plain co-ordinating card.  I used Stardust Stickles on the wings and some 25mm pale pink double sided satin ribbon and pretty pink loopy string, all from Ribbon Girl.  I will enter this card into Friday Sketchers No 134 Challenge - Claudias sketch.

My last Christmas Projects for 2010

I made these tree decorations with the sizzix rosette die, oodles of stardust stickles and stick on jewels.  I stitched a thread through to hang them on the tree but they are so heavy with jewels (both sides), German glass glitter and stickles I'm amazed the tree branch didn't snap off!

I made this card for Evelyn and because she can't see I used silky crush ribbon which feels gorgeous, stick on pearls and plenty of stardust stickles.  Ribbon and stickles from here.  The paper and image is from a Nitwit digital kit

19th December - Two Christmas Gift Cards

I used Nitwitivity digital paper and image and added the text in photoshop.  To finish I added old rose 25mm satin ribbon , a fairy charm and some pink and white Bakers Divine Twine, Stardust Stickles all from Ribbon Girl.  Final flourish was the addition of stick on jewels from stash.  On the inside I added a pocket to pop in my christmas gift for Gemma, my great-neice.
I can imagine Jack's Mam and Dad wondering where the 'all is calm' bit comes in as Jack is a 7 year old live wire and never still and never stops talking (mostly about football) and never stops asking questions.  Jack's card follows the same design, except I have used blue satin ribbon, aqua Bakers Divine Twine, Golden Bells, Stardust Stickles (all from Ribbon Girl) and finished off with blue stick on jewels.  Again, I made a pocket on the inside for my Christmas Gift for my great-nephew Jack.

Turquoise Challenge

This is for the Daring Cardmakers challenge for December 'Turquoise'. in conjunction with flourish with a bling, I coloured the Magnolia image with copics then cut it out with nesties and matted onto turquoise card.  The background paper for the card is from Nitwits and to add more texture, I stickled around the hearts on the background and I used a cuttlebug folder to emboss white paper and a Martha Stewart edge punch to make some paper 'lace'.  A few self adhesive pearls from here were placed in the corner.  The card was finished off with more stickles and a twill stripe ribbon - both from Ribbon Girl

Magnolia with Sparkle

This card is based on a design which was in the Winter Magnolia magazine and I made this for the Just Magnolia challenge - anything with SPARKLE - I coloured the image with copics and then cut it out.  I used nestie dies to cut out the scalloped circle and used plenty of stick on pink rhinestones to make it sparkle then some pink stick on pearls.!
I added white guipure lace pink satin ribbon from Ribbon Girl and flowers from Wild Orchid plus plenty of pink and stardust stickles!

Even the flowers had a bit of stardust stickles to make them sparkle!  Stickles, Lace and Ribbon all from Ribbon Girl  here

A few of my favourite things

This card using 'a few of my favourite things' has that cute little LOTV bear carrying a gorgeous flower and a card.  My favourite things are ribbon, lace, flowers and sparkle AND little bears so this card has it all!

I coloured the image with copics and used plenty of Stardust stickles, especially on the flower
The background paper is called Lilac Eve with butterflies and flowers from the Clipart Fairy and it is a perfect match for the 32mm wide silk ribbon which ties into a beautiful soft bow.  I added a little sparkly butterfly from stash and some self adhesive pearls from here.    The flowers are from Wild Orchid and the silk ribbon, white cotton lace and stickles are from Ribbon Girl    I will enter this card into the LOTV challenge
