Sketchy free for all at Papertake Weekly


This is my DT card for today's Papertake Weekly Sketchy Free for All - I made this card using sketch 87 for my beloved husbands birthday which he would have celebrated on 22nd February.  He died on 17th February, peacefully in hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Roy always liked to see the cards and papercraft projects Andrea and I had made so I decided that it should still be used for the challenge and on my blog.  Ladies don't wait until tomorrow to tell someone how much you love them - do it now - tomorrow may never come

Romance .....


There's a new 'Lovely Lili' challenge over on the Ribbon Girl Challenge Blog today - the theme is 'romance' and this is my card for someone very special to me.  As I often do, I used an image from a LOTV artpad and added 30mm pink two tone wild roses, large pink rosebuds, pink/white hip rosebuds, fuschia pink 20mm open roses, pink velvet lace, 15mm dusky pink satin ribbon and Stardust stickle

A shaped card for Papertake Weekly Challenge ....


This weeks challenge at Papertake Weekly is Anything goes - optional extra is to make a shaped or non square card.  I chose to make a shaped card which is also suitable for a valentine card -  my image is from a LOTV art pad and I added Stardust Stickles. The bows are pink tulip seam binding and Danielle white fine vintage style lace topped with a pink WOC  sweetheart blossom.

My matching flower sprays are WOC 30mm pink/pink wild roses, 20mm fuschia pink open roses, pink sweetheart blossoms, and branches cut from a tiny pearl cluster - all products are available from


and the tiny pink rosebuds are from my stash.

February card challenge - hearts ...


Today is the start of the Ribbon Girl Card Challenge


For my card I used used image from  LOTV artpad, some 32mm white guipure lace, 7mm orchid satin ribon, a crystal butterfly charm, a stem of clear crystal hearts, two stems of tiny pearl clusters, lilac/white  cherry blossom, 10mm and 20mm lilac open roses, natural hemp twine, Stardust Stickles and a die cut a heart banner

less is more .....


It's Less is More challenge 3rd birthday today and the theme for their new challenge is RAINBOW - I am thrilled to be a guest designer today.  I cut the 4 on the sillouhette then wrapped a rainbow of ribbons behind the space (richard of york gave battle in vain) behind.  I added a name and some tiny little 2mm sparkly self adhesive gems - and DIDN't add a single piece f lace or a flower - so difficult not to!
