Afternoon tea invitation ....

The challenge at Papertake Weekly today is 'cute' and I thought my little teapot afternoon tea invitation would fit the bill.   The actual invitation is on the reverse side and the teapot shape was cut using the silhouette.  There are some wonderful cards following this week's theme and I hope you will pop over to be inspired!

I made more invites and used a selection of ready coloured art-pad images from Lili of the Valley and added 10mm and 20mm WOC open roses, daisy flowers, hip and tiny rosebuds, sweetheart blossoms.  I embellished with white opal liquid pearls and added 7mm and 15mm satin and 5mm gingham ribbon and a little silver colour teapot charm, sparkly flower shaped buttons and pink hemp twine all from The Ribbon Girl

A jug of summer roses ........

The image is from 'Summer Blooms' art-pad  featuring a jug of roses and sweet peas - I can almost smell them!  I got the artpad at LOTV on Saturday and I added some Stardust Stickles.  This is my card for today's PTW challenge 'Pretty Pastels'

I added pink pencil stripe ribbon, a flower shaped sparkly button tied on with pink and white Divine bakers twine, a silver colour teapot charm, 'Alice' white guipure lace, WOC 30mm pink/white wild rose, baby pink blossoms, ivory 20mm open rose, Kort & Godt pink rolled rose, pink/pink beaded berries and tiny pink rosebuds all from The Ribbon Girl.

I hope you will find time to check out the wonderful creations by the design team over at PTW - they are sure to inspire you to get crafting!

Lovely Lillies .....

This is a feshly made, glue not dry yet kind of card as I have literally just finished  making it  (cleaning up the inevitable mess from the re-plastering of the bathroom when we got back last night - it'll be well worth it when it's all finished)  Andrea and I had a rare day out yesterday when we went down to LOTV for their 10th birthday celebrations - it was so good to meet up with all those lovely ladies (and some of their hubbies too) as well as Dawny P, Fleur, Becky, Gretha, Anne, Elaine, Jen, Lou and Mary!!  I bought papers, art pads and stamps and for my card this morning I thought it appropriate to use the lovely lily image from Set 27 'Beautiful Blooms' art pad teamed with 'Always & Forever' patterned and the new 'solids' paper pads

I added Donna' ivory vintage style lace, 4mm ivory pearl flat back trim, pink ruffle edge sheer ribbon, 3mm ivory s/a pearls, medium cream/pink variagated lily, white and pink WOC lily, Melissa Frances pink vellum envelope with tag, Maya Road pearl trinket pin, ivory teardrop pin all from The Ribbon Girl

There are some fabulous creations by the design team and I urge you to pop over to be inspired to get crafting!!  I'm looking forward to seeing your creations and there are some great prizes to win!!

Flowers at The Ribbon Girl ....

The Ribbon Girl May Card Challenge is 'Flowers' and I decided to make my own flowers - I used three types of vintage style lace.  I added ivory pleated satin ribbon and the laces I used were 'Daphne' white vintage style lace, 'Leah' 12mm white lace, and 'Melanie' pale ivory lace  The flower centres are 20mm and 15mm pearl and diamante embellishments

The flowers were quick and easy to stitch and gather up - I only pricked my finger once :-(

Lace, ribbon and embellishments are all from The Ribbon Girl

I hope you will join in this lovely challenge - I know lots of you like to add flowers, either ones you've bought or those you have made yourself, and we'd love to see your projects!  As usual there are some super prizes to win!
