Sketch time at Papertake Weekly .....

It's sketch time over at Papertake Weekly and this is my DT card - I used a LOTV art pad image and papers then added Angelique embroidered tulle lace, summer rose seam binding tied in a bow with a 15mm sparkly button and some natural hemp twine.

The flower arrangement includes pink tiny little rosebuds, WOC ivory wild rose, 20mm and 10mm WOC ivory open roses, pink/pink beaded berries, a white leaf pin and a pink heart pin
There are some great takes on this week's sketch by the design team, so please pop over and be inspired and we look forward to seeing your projects and there is a great prize for one lucky entrant!

Buttons and bows

My pink and girly DT card for The Ribbon Girls April Magnolia Only Challenge - buttons and bows - I coloured Tilda with Magnolia with copics and added stardust stickles.

My flowers include WOC 30mm pink/white wild roses, 20mm and 10mm pale pink open roses, tiny rose buds and a sprig of pink beaded stamens.  I added white flower guipure lace and Ballerina pink tu tu tulle and 15mm hot pink satin ribbon.

I tied the bow with a 15mm clear sparkly button using pink and white Divine Bakers Twine and the sentiment was a Craftwork Cards die-cut.

The design team have made some wonderful cards and I hope you will be able to pop over and be inspired - we are looking forward to seeing what you create and remember, the prize is not only a £10 voucher to spend in the Ribbon Girl online store, but also a stamp which will be sent directly to the winner all the way from the home of Tilda and Edwin by our very generous friends at Magnolia, Sweden.

White plus one .....

Todays challenge at PTW is 'white plus one' - so I've gone for white and pink.  The sentiment is from a Stempleglede rubber stamp enhanced with a couple of tiny pink pearls and I added some medium pink lillies, 3mm sugar and spice pearls and I'm sorry I've no idea where the background paper came from.  All edges were distressed with walnut stain

There are some lovely cards over at PTW - my teamies have excelled themselves and there is a nice prize to be won too.

Happy Easter ...

I wish you all peace and joy on this Easter Sunday

"Hallelujah!  The Lord is risen"

After making quite a few plain boy cards,  I went to town with my DT card for the today's  Ribbon Girl April Colour Challenge which is 'Lemon/Yellow' - perfect colours for Easter and Springtime

I coloured 'Tilda Binding Flowers' with Copics  - it's been a while since Andrea and I sat and coloured, but we got our copics out the other night and had a lovely time colouring up various stamps.

I added  'Irene' antique white lace, 7mm yellow gold satin ribbon, yellow large rosebud, ivory cherry blossoms, white lillies, cream daisy, a crystal and a earl trinket pin, a frame from a pack of Prima resin frames, some scraps of 12mm white cotton lace, 3mm ivory bead string and yellow gold satin held in a memo pin (which I've just realised is completely hidden by the flowers!)

Lastly, some stardust stickles and some dinky little 3mm ivory self adhesive pearls

flowers, lace, ribbon, Prima frames, pearls, stickles and pins are all from

I hope you will pop over to the Ribbon Girl Blog to have a look at the fabulous creations by the design team - and there are wonderful prizes to be won!

Happy Easter at PTW ....

I wish you all peace at this Easter time

"Hallelujah!  The Lord is risen"

The theme over at Papertake Weekly is 'Happy Easter' and I had some cracker blanks left over so I thought why not, I'll make an Easter cracker instead of a card and I'll pop something yummy inside as a gift.  I used some of my precious Pion papers (which live in their own box) and punched out the bunnies and backgrounds inking the edges with walnut stain. I chose to stand the cracker upright, so folded one end accordingly

All edges were inked then I added 10mm square ivory pearl trim stuck on with 6mm double sided sticky tape, 7mm  bridal white (ivory) and cream satin ribbon,  WOC 10mm cream open roses, 5mm ivory cream loopy trim, and some cream pleated satin (sorry none left in stock) at the bottom of the cracker

Flowers, ribbons, pearl trim, sticky tape all from The Ribbon Girl

I hope you will have time to pop over to Papertake Weekly to be inspired by my teamies projects and you have a whole week to get your project in - there is a nice prize for the winner

Lovely Lili over at The Ribbon Girl Challene .....

I hope everyone is having a bit of warm weather this weekend -  up here not far from the North East coast Andrea and I  have just come back from walking Haggis and we're frozen - it's very windy and freezing cold - we're glad to get back into the warm - hope it warms up soon!!c

A very simple 'thank you' card from me to-day - it is my third card for a man in three days, so still no flowers!!  I'm getting withdrawal symptoms.  I used a LOTV James the Bear with his laptop (he's so cute) on an embossed plain white background.  I added navy tea dye cotton ribbon, some blueberry blue bakers Divine Twine, a couple of blue/white small striped buttons, one face up, one reverse side up, and have you seen the new robot charms?  not tiny these, but would make excellent addition to a key-ring or similar.

I hope you will join in with our Lovely Lili challenge over on the Ribbon Girl blog - the ladies on the design team have come up with some stunners - don't miss them!

Belated birthday greetings ......

Anything goes over at Papertake Weekly with the option of making a container for Easter treats - however, I stuck to a card and used a LOTV image from their very useful artpads then aded white/lilac cherry blossoms, tiny s/a pearls, velvet ribbon, a little sparkly flower shaped acrylic button tied on with lilac hemp, white cosmos, white sweetheart blossoms and some scrummy Emily 50mm embroidered tulle lace.  I added a touch of stardust stickles to the image.  The sentiment is one of my Stempleglade stamps

I hope you will pop over to PTW - there are some really nice examples by the design team and of course, you could win a great prize!
